The game included what felt like a ton of content from the show, and really made me feel like I was in Springfield enmeshed in the town-wide fight. Luckily, a street brawler game makes total sense allowing for a large cast of characters and fun props/weapons double functioning as throwback references to the show. It's The Simpsons family! Other weapons such as hammers and bowling balls are also available to use. Homer, who punches and kicks Marge, who swings her vacuum cleaner Bart, who wields his skateboard and Lisa, who uses a jump rope as a whip. The player can choose to play as each of the four Simpson characters. The Simpsons is basically a side-scrolling beat-em-up featuring the characters from The Simpsons TV show. Burns has tons of henchmen, who want to prevent the family getting their daughter back. The Simpsons decide to go after him, but Mr. Maggie catches it in her mouth, prompting Smithers to grab her and run off. While trying to make a getaway, he crashes into Homer, which knocks the diamond out of his hand. The Simpsons Game features a storyline crafted by the show's Emmy-winning writers and dialogue voiced by the original cast members.Waylon Smithers has just stolen a diamond from Springfield Jewelers for Mr. Players can even discover multiple video game clichés, from double jumps to invisible walls, each narrated with particular disdain by Comic Book Guy. Two playable family members are featured in an episode, with solo gamers able to freely switch between the pre-selected pair to take advantage of a character's special attributes. Each episode parodies films, television shows, and particularly video games, with the latter skewering such mainstays as Grand Theft Auto, EverQuest, and the publisher's own Medal of Honor series. Featuring cartoon-like, cel-shaded graphics and 3D environments, The Simpsons Game offers players a chance to control each member of the flawed family (even baby Maggie) in a series of 16 "episodes" spread across four acts. Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa are the last hope for Springfield in The Simpsons Game for PSP.
